If It Doesn't Shine, We Didn't Do It! |
Home |
The primary purpose of Show Car Shine is to give your vehicle's exterior a beautiful, long-lasting shine that's easy to maintain. To do this requires an approach in paint care that is unique, yet easy to understand. The Texas region has many different sources of environmental and industrial fallout particulates that can bind to and damage your vehicle's paint. If you desire a high gloss shine, the paint must first be cleaned and fully inspected then, if the paint can be corrected to the level of a Show Car Shine, we will schedule a future date to polish it to a high gloss and then seal the paint. |
The most important thing I try to get people to understand is polishing your paint too much can be bad for your paint. Even though many detailers will suggest compounding and polishing your vehicle once or twice a year to keep it looking beautiful, I advise otherwise. I believe paint should only be polished with an abrasive polish once, then it should be correctly washed and protected with a premium wax or sealant to prevent further damage to the paint. Why do I advise against routinely polishing your vehicle's paint? Paint is not like human hair that regrows when it's cut. Once paint is polished with a abrasive compound or polish it becomes thinner, and once the paint becomes too thin, it will fail and start to peel off the vehicle's body. Thin paint can only be repaired by repainting it, and that can be expensive. Our initial service consist of washing, cleaning, examining and protecting the paint. This service alone can make your paint look much better. Then we will schedule a time to remove the paint defects, such as swirls and scratches, polish the paint to a high gloss and give it a long lasting shine, because at Show Car Shine, "If it doesn't shine, we didn't do it!" |
